SkinPen Precision Microneedling is a highly effective non-surgical method for removing and reducing wrinkles and scars (such as facial scars, i.e. acne scars), completely free of contraindications and any complications. The entire skin structure remains intact.

It is recommended to stop using products containing Vitamin A 3-5 days (1-2 days is sufficient) before treatment and to apply a cream with a high protection factor daily.

Before the treatment itself, it is necessary to remove makeup and strong face creams and cleanse the face, which our medical cosmetologists will do.

There are three phases of the treatment process:

Phase I: Inflammation. Micro-damage to the skin triggers your immune system to clean the wound, i.e. scar, remove debris, increase blood flow and start creating new tissue.

Phase II: Proliferation. A scar, i.e. a newly formed skin damage, is renewed with new cells. In addition, a new network of blood vessels develops.

Phase III : Reshaping. The scar (wound or hyperpigmentation) is replaced by new skin tissues and blood vessels.

We begin the treatment with the foundation of a beautiful complexion, which consists of thorough cleansing of the skin with an appropriate product adapted to the type of skin being treated.

This is followed by an enzymatic peel that removes the stratum corneum, allowing the preparations to penetrate the subcutaneous tissue faster and more efficiently.

Microneedling therapy begins with the application of LIFT HG hydrogel, which protects against abrasion and friction during the microneedling treatment procedure.

With the movements, the microneedles will penetrate the skin and stimulate collagen production.

After the treatment, the Lift HG hydrogel is reapplied to prevent further drying of the skin. The remaining contents of the hydrogel are provided in the home care package and can be applied to the skin as needed, within 24 hours of the treatment. The hydrogel cools, hydrates and provides much-needed comfort to the skin.

For home care, as part of the treatment, you also get Rescue gel, which is actually a soothing complex. It is applied in the morning and in the evening as needed to soothe the skin. Therefore, if the inflammation does not decrease after 24 hours from the treatment and your skin is swollen and red, it is recommended to apply Rescue gel to the treated area.

After the treatment, the face will be red and inflamed, and the skin will be warmer to the touch than usual.

This is a normal skin reaction and the condition should improve within 1-2 hours, and return to normal after 5 days.

The mandatory interval between treatments is from three weeks to a month, or 30 days.

Specialists at the Bagatin Polyclinic will prescribe appropriate skin care that you should follow to avoid possible inflammation.

The study showed that the improvement in scar tissue was around 55%, while patient satisfaction with the results was 90%.

A clinical study confirmed that 80% of patients saw improvement in their acne scars after just 30 days , or 1 treatment , and in as many as 90% of them, improvement was visible after 3 treatments .

It is recommended to avoid the sun and solarium for 30 days after the SkinPen microneedling treatment. After that, it is essential to apply a sunscreen daily.

You can start using your regular skin care products 48-72 hours after your treatment, and avoid alcohol-based toners for 10-14 days after your treatment. Also, avoid products containing salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and TCA acid.

Microneedling therapy is not recommended in the following situations:

• if you have open wounds, inflamed wounds or irritated skin;
• if you are allergic to stainless steel or anesthetics;
• if you have a bleeding disorder or a bleeding disorder;
• if you are pregnant or breastfeeding;
• if you are taking medicines containing isotretinoin.

We also do not recommend treating recently operated, injured or burned areas.
