Some of the main tips for preparing for laser hair removal are as follows:

• Shave your hair the day before the treatment.
• Avoid tanning. If you have tanned your skin, whether from sun exposure or self-tanning products, wait 15-30 days for your skin to return to its natural color before undergoing treatment. Some specialists even advise avoiding sun exposure for up to six weeks before laser hair removal.
• Avoid anti-cellulite treatments up to 4 weeks before treatment. Furthermore, antibiotic treatments for inflammatory acne are also contraindicated and should be discontinued for at least 4-6 weeks.
