VASERlipo ultrasound liposuction is a surgical procedure in which the surgeon removes unwanted fat deposits from specific areas of the body, including the neck, upper arms, upper and lower back, abdomen, thighs and hips, buttocks, outer and inner thighs, all with the ultimate goal of shaping your desired body contour and shape. The procedure is not a substitute for weight loss, but rather a method for removing unwanted fat deposits.

The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia, and consists of inserting a thin probe into the fatty tissue with the aim of injecting a specially prepared and diluted solution of local anesthetic and adrenaline through 5 mm puncture incisions in the skin, which has a dual property – on the one hand, the solution “dilutes” the fatty tissue, and on the other hand, it acts as a medium through which ultrasound will act exclusively and only on the fat cells. After injecting the special solution through the same, previously created punctures in the skin, an ultrasound probe is inserted into the fatty tissue.

As the probe passes through the fat tissue soaked in the anesthetic solution, ultrasonic energy is emitted from the tip of the probe while the operator gently passes over the planned area of ​​the body. Due to the effect of ultrasound, the energy of the ultrasound is transferred to the water molecules in the solution, exciting them to a very high frequency of movement, which results in the direct breakdown of fat cells and the creation of an even layer of the so-called fat emulsion. After ultrasonic fat emulsification, a second probe (cannula) is inserted through the same areas of the skin, with which the surgeon uses a vacuum pump to “suck” the fat solution created in this way without the need for rough and mechanical breakdown of the fat tissue.

Compared to traditional liposuction , VASERlipo requires a shorter recovery time. The length of recovery after the procedure always depends on the extent of the treatment. Most people need up to 7 days to return to their daily routine. During the initial postoperative period, you may not be able to fully appreciate your new contour, but the results are visible immediately.
