Fat is taken from one area using VASERlipo ultrasound liposuction and then distributed / applied to a particular body part which we want to shape, that is, where we want to contour the muscles.
Present day VASER technology, unlike traditional methods, uses sound waves for breaking fat deposits without damaging the surrounding tissue.
It is the least invasive surgical procedure used for removing hard fat deposits from almost all problematic body parts, leaving the skin tight with minimum recovery time.
After that, thanks to the filtration system, unwanted fat is purified and placed in the syringes to be injected into the regions and areas we want to contour further.
The advantages of this shaping technique are in the nature of the result, longevity, and the use of own fat deposits, which are unwanted in a particular body area, while needed for contouring and adding volume to other body parts.
High Definition sculpting follows the natural contours of the ideal human body, and the following regions can be formed:
*NOTE: Using High Definition Sculpting, breasts and buttocks may only be additionally shaped and a further contouring may be achieved. In order to increase the volume of the buttocks and the breasts, a procedure of augmentation using implants is needed. Implants provide a real effect which cannot be lost, while High Definition Sculpting of the body is a procedure which needs to be repeated.
Good candidates for High Definition Sculpting of the body are people with an active lifestyle who work out regularly but cannot lose fat in certain areas.
They have a lower body weight, a body mass index below 28 and watch their diet.
Candidates may have a volume shortage on a specific part of the body and volume can be added using this method.
High Definition Sculpting of the body is intended for both men and women. However, shaping in women is still performed moderately, due to different perception of beauty.
It is necessary to quit smoking four to six weeks before the procedure. Two weeks before the procedure it is necessary to stop taking aspirin, herbal preparations or any other supplements and certain medications that inhibit the formation of inflammation.
During the consultation prepare for a medical examination and talk frankly to the doctor about your expectations, speak freely about the history of the disease, allergies to medications or food and with special emphasis on the medications you are taking and explain to the doctor if you are under a medical treatment.
Dr. Dinko Bagatin will take a few pictures before the surgical procedure which will be attached to your medical records.
Also, it is recommended to make Seca mBCA 515 medical body composition analysis, 3D body scan on Styku device, nutrition counseling for the follow-up and results comparison before and after the surgery.
The VASERlipo ultrasound liposuction procedure itself is done under general anaesthetic, the first step being inserting a thin probe into the fatty tissue with a purpose to inject specially prepared and diluted local anaesthetic and adrenalin solution through a 5 mm incision on the skin,.
The purpose of the injected solution is dual– on one hand it “dilutes” the fat tissue, and on the other it acts like a medium through which the ultrasound exclusively affects only the fat cells.
After injecting a special solution through the same, already created incisions on the skin, the ultrasonic probe is introduced into the fat tissue.
As the probe moves through the anaesthetic-soaked tissue, ultrasonic energy is emitted from the top of the probe while the operator gently moves it through the treated body area.
Due to the effect of the ultrasound, its energy is transferred to molecules of water in the solution, stimulating them into movement of very high frequency, which results in the direct breaking of fat cells and creation of a uniform layer of so called “fat emulsion”.
After the ultrasonic emulsification of fat, another probe (cannula) is inserted through the same incisions on the skin. Using this probe, the surgeon “sucks” such fat through a vacuum pump without the need for rough and mechanical fat tissue fragmentation.
The removed fatty deposits are particularly and professionally prepared for the next step.
Purified fatty cells are placed in sterile syringes. Using specially designed cannulas, they are injected under the skin through a 5 mm incision, above the muscle or in the muscle itself, to obtain an additional volume of the treated region.
The length of recovery after the procedure depends on the scope of treatment itself.
Most people require 7 days to get back into everyday routine, thanks to the innovative VASERlipo method which requires less recovery time for the organism to recover fully from the procedure and for the fat deposits to “attach” to the tissue.
After the procedure it is necessary to wear post-operative garments to prevent possible swelling and help the skin adhere to the newly formed, now visible muscle layer without the “fat pillow.
Also, it is necessary to carry drains for a couple of days.
Changes to the body are visible immediately, you may expect the first results in three to four weeks, and however, it is necessary to wait from seven months up to a year for that final look and results.
It is important to adhere to the surgeon's instructions, be disciplined and actively participate in the recovery. Only thus will the results be long-lasting.
VASERlipo is a minimally invasive procedure approved by the FDA. It causes minimal or no physical trauma of connective tissue, nerves and blood vessels.
As in any surgical procedure, VASER Lipo bears certain risks, but VASER technology reduces those risks significantly in comparison to traditional liposuction techniques.
The most common post-operative phenomena are swelling, bruising and unease.
The scars at the places where the cannula is introduced usually have a shape of a line, but may be wider sometimes.
Also, burns which can occur after the procedure are then adequately treated.
It should be noted that in High Definition Sculpting of the body the applied adipose tissue will dissolve eventually to some extent, because fat itself breaks down but a part of it will survive and usually give the desired result.
If necessary, an 'upgrade' can be done after some period of time.
