About the procedure
Med Contour is a combination of ultrasound therapy, vacuum massage and lymphatic drainage, which results in a transformation of the body, tightens and firms the skin and smooths the bumps on problematic areas caused by cellulite. Med Contour treatment is the first real alternative to liposuction. The treatment provides a long lasting, reduction in volume to 2.5 cm in 45 minutes.
Med Contour uses a worldwide patented applicator with two mutually aligned ultrasonic heads and a vacuum pump that during ultrasonic treatment freezes and sucks fat tissue which is being treated. Each head releases a branch of energy (as in a V-shape), where the maximum energy is collected in the top of the letter V, where the maximum heating of tissue is obtained. This enables delivering of energy that is completely safe for the skin, have no side effects (burns), and at the same time in the subcutaneous tissue, where the fat cells are, branches of ultrasound energy meet and overlap, and the intensity of energy is four times greater in that area. To put it simply, ultrasound and massage therapy during treatment heats targeted, problem areas, and thus stimulates the secretion of excess toxins and fat.
The treatment is non-invasive, painless, effective and safe. It provides exceptional comfort, which is described as hot deep body massage. Am I a candidate?
Med Contour treatment was developed in order to help moderate excessively obese men and women who yearn for a better physical figure. The treatment is not a replacement for regular exercise and a healthy diet.
The treatment is not recommended for people who have heart disease or problems in the circulatory system, wearing a pacemaker, suffering from thrombosis, need organ transplants, women who are pregnant or nursing, and individuals with a metal prosthesis or any other serious illness, and those who take medication for lowering levels of lipids or anticoagulant drugs.
How do you prepare?
On the first treatment in the Bagatin Clinic critical areas are thoroughly examined, photographed and measured, so that progress could later be monitored.
In addition to an examination of the current state, an estimate about the number of treatments necessary for achieving the expected results will be given. The number of treatments varies from person to person and depends on the size of the person and the desired result.
Best results are obtained by performing a series of treatments. Generally, we recommend at least six treatments to achieve the best result, but for very large or stubborn areas of fat tissues and cellulite up to twelve treatments will be needed.
At the Polyclinic Bagatin we give detail instruction about the flow of the procedure and advises on how can you, with assistance of a balanced diet, exercise and fluid intake, additionaly help in faster achievement of even better results.
During the procedure
Med Contour treatment starts with the opening of the lymph nodes. After we encourage the lymphatic system, we are going to struggle with fat cells with the help of a pleasant, warm massage with a specially designed applicator. We act locally on fat cells and thus we do not damage the surrounding tissue, and create tiny bubbles beneath the skin that, due to compression and decompression phase, implode, thus damaging the fat cells. Fat, which will enter the intracellular fluid is expelled through the lymph, urine, sweat, and a small part goes through the liver. The warm-up phase is followed by lymphatic drainage through which we help the body to eliminate released fat. Because of this unique combination, the treatment, in addition of being comfortable and efficient, is also considered safe.
Recovery time
After the treatment, the return to the daily routine is instantaneous. The recovery period is not required. You do not feel pain or discomfort. In addition to plenty of sleep and exercise, a balanced diet is very important. Therefore, note the following: it is important that you avoid all short chain carbohydrates for three days. If usable carbohydrates are consumed quickly there is a risk that the body might store discharged fat in another place. After three days, the level of fat will be reduced and carbohydrates can be consumed again until the next treatment.
Precautions
The treatment is not recommended for people with a sick liver, as well as all those who have some skin diseases. It is also not recommended for people who have some problems with heart disease or circulatory system, wearing a pacemaker, suffering from thrombosis, need organ transplants, women who are pregnant or nursing, and individuals with a metal prosthesis or any serious illness, and those who take medication to lower levels of or anticoagulant drugs.
